Archival Policy

The Research Review Journal of Cultural Heritage and Traditions (RRJCHT) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and permanent availability of all published content, safeguarding scholarly work on Cultural Heritage, Traditions, and Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS).
1. Digital Archiving
All articles published in RRJCHT are preserved in secure digital formats (such as PDF and other standard archival formats). The journal maintains regular server backups and secure hosting systems to prevent data loss and ensure continued accessibility.
2. LOCKSS and CLOCKSS Participation
RRJCHT supports and is open to participation in recognized digital preservation initiatives, including:
- LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe)
- CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS)
These systems provide decentralized and distributed archiving to safeguard scholarly content for the future.
3. Institutional and Subject Repositories
Authors are encouraged to deposit the final published version of their articles in:
- Institutional repositories
- Subject-specific repositories
Such deposits should comply with the journal’s Open Access and Copyright Policy and include proper citation to the original publication.
4. Metadata Indexing
Article metadata is systematically maintained and made available for indexing in academic databases and indexing services to ensure discoverability, citation tracking, and long-term retrievability.
5. DOI and CrossRef Registration
Each published article is assigned a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) through CrossRef (where applicable). The DOI ensures permanent identification, reliable citation linking, and long-term digital accessibility.
